So I purchased a set of tein drift spec winding master type he coilovers for my s13 from a guy that had s14 knuckles so the holes on the bracket that bolts to the knuckle have been drilled, problem is I am using my s13 knuckles so would it be better to weld plates in the holes for the bolts and re-drill to use s13 bolts, or should I attempt to drill the holes in my knuckles a bit larger and go but some bigger grade 8 bolts?

Problem #2, also on one of the rear coilovers he did not have the spring seat that holds the spring and protects the threads from the spring damaging them and I can not properly pre load the coilover with the damaged threads so any ideas on that repair would also help!

I know it sounds like too much to deal with but I got the coilovers for an awesome deal and I'm pumped to get them on but I just want to be sure that everything is functioning properly before slapping them on and sliding away! Thanks for reading

Do you have a problem man? I asked for some help reguarding an issue I am having..the thread damage is thread damage...It's not that big of a concern hince the reason I listed it as problem #2 I will most likely take it to a machine shop for repair. Now if you have a suggesting as to which route i should take as far as the knuckles go I would Appriciate the advice.

The answer to #1 is simple. 5-lug swap.

and #2 you are on the right track. if you dont have the experience yourself take it to someone who does. A picture would help so we can see what were lookin at here but i dont see that costing very much.

No, what you asked for was good news, and reassurance that you didn't get f***ed over. I'm afraid there's none of that coming your way. You did. Its going to cost you more to get your issues fixed than it would have to buy a decent set of coils in the first place. My advice, try to get your money back.

This is not s*** talking. Ask me about getting f***ed over. 3 months ago I bought a 95 Maxima (for a good price) that ran fine on the test drive and only revealed its blown headgasket after I had signed the title and was miles down the road. Doubled the cost of the car. s*** happens, people screw you, at least your lesson was cheaper than mine.
