Is the rear suspension required to have the panhard bar? It appears to be a triangulated 4 link setup with the addition of the panhard bar. Is anyone running without one without the rear-end swaying side-to-side? The reason I ask is because my buddy has bags and he's rubbing at full low because the panhard bar is pushing the axle to one side. Help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

You need a panhard bar to make sure the diff asssembly stays centered when in flex. Now this will be effective if the bar is parrallel to the ground when the truck is sitting still (no flex). Usually when people put a lift on a truck, the bar will not be parrallel anymore and will cause the symptoms you state.. To fix this, you need to put back the bar parrallel... so usually a panhard bar drop bracket needs to be installed/fabricated to bring back good geometry....

The truck is not lifted though. It's lowered. The panhard bar was designed to center the diff at for the stock ride, not above or below. If you lift your truck it will usually be worse then if its lowered. I'm asking if you need it when you're lowered. If so, we'll fabricate an adjustable one.

I'll try and snap a few pics next time I'm over there. Whenever I am we're usually to busy to even work on his car. It's been sitting in the shop for over a month without any serious work done on it. Last thing was wheels.
