Suspension Question

I am purchasing the Eibach pro kit springs for my 1989 240sx fastback and I was wondering if anyone out there knows what is a good brand of shocks and struts to go with the springs?

I hope you dont expect your car to lowered 1.75", because the ProKit for S13 only lowers .75". With the ProKit you could use your stock struts (unless they are blown), or go with something a little stiffer like KYB GR2. No need to blow your money on the adjustable AGXs or anything like Tokico Blues. ProKit wont make that much difference in ride height or harshness.

Would you go with the sportline kit then?

I have the Sportline set. A year ago i went from H&R springs (a 1.3" drop) to the ProKit and my car went UP! After much griping (and paying to have my springs swapped back) i sent the ProKit back and got Sportlines. Sportlines are a 1.75" drop. They handle just fine. Definately harsher than normal, but i live in pothole central southern Louisiana and dont have much problems (although i bent rim on a crater in the road, softer springs wouldnt have helped out at all). If your are going to lower your car, do it once and be done with it, thats all.

yeh alot of people are unhappy w/ the drop of spring for their s13. I bought a set of intrax springs, an ok drop, imporved stiffness and handeling. I just stil wasnt satisfied w/ the wheel gap. SO i now have ground controls cooil overs on ,my car, love them! Very nice and stiffer! and looks great

lemme get this cleared up, coilovers are definitely better than springs?

coilovers..springs you will hear one is better than the other but it is really up to you in the end
