Saw a couple convos about these different brand of suspensions and Im basically just wondering if anyone has them, how they like them, the quality, good for drifting, etc. The D2 Coilovers and the K-Sport coilovers. I heard they are the exact same brand and everything, except one has orange paint and one has purple, although the K-Sports are like a hundred or so dollars cheaper. I was thinking about picking up a set of K-Sports because I found a place where I can get them fairly cheap, and I think it would be a good starting suspension set up, seeing as how Im newer to drifting and all that. Anyone had any problems with these? Are they comparable to say, Tein or Cusco? All thoughts welcome.

I had the D2 coilovers on my car and I honestly wouldnt recommend them if you intend on doing any drifting. The problem that I had was with the dampers being too soft for the springs that the D2s came with. Even on a very stiff setting, the springs were too stiff for the dampers and you get a nice bouncy effect. As of right now, I have a set of TEIN HEs and Im ok with them. Ill probably end up getting the TEIN super drifts when I get a bit more money to burn

So there was no way to rectify the problem no matter what setting you were using on the suspension? Did you have any other suspension mods on the car that might keep it a little stiffer while trying to drift? Do you think other suspension mods would rectify the bouncy effect? I dont want to go and blow like 800 bucks on suspension thats not even going to give me any pro's besides being able to lower the car... fk that. Anyone else had this same problem with their coilover setup that maybe some other suspension mod fixed?

I have Tien HEs and they are pretty satisfactory to me. A bit stiffer than I'd like when driving through town, but enjoyable for autocrossing and drifting. They aren't the stiffest but they are a great improvement over stock in terms of rigidity. That's all I can comment on tho.
