okay so the other night was driven my car messing with the dampers and front camber. and i went to go take a corner nice and smooth and grip run it and NOT drift it, as i took the car around the corner it had wanted to step out or slide out and drift. i have my dampers setup pretty stiff.

i think if i get a rear camber kit and some sway-bars will that help out for it grip. so some one with some knowledge about suspension point me in the right direction.

and i dont have much power but a slightly moded KA with a diff and coilovers.

Yes. try about two degrees neg out back with 1/8 toe in. What kind/ size tires are you running?

Also, if your dampers are adjustable, go soft up front 2 degrees neg. camber and 0 toe. Just how adjustable are you at present?

Alignment settings are a great place to start to dial your car in. I suggest this setup if you're having some oversteer issues:

Front:-2.5* Camber0* toeStock Caster

Rear:-1.5* Camber1* toe in

Until you get your alignment, try softening up your dampers, especially in the rear. People often underestimate the effect that proper damper settings will have on a car's behavior! A damper that is too soft will allow the wheel to "oscillate" over the road surface, even after it has experienced a bump -- this will cause a loss in traction and predictability as the vertical force (and therefore the lateral force) on the tire fluctuates with the "bouncing" motion you experience with an underdamped setup. However, setting your dampers as stiff as possible is not the correct remedy. Overly stiff dampers do not allow the wheels to return from their bump positions quickly enough -- this causes the wheel to "skip" over road imperfections, reducing your traction.

Soften your dampers a bit, and dial in your alignment.

thanks amoeassassin when i am able to get my friends track side alighnment tools i will go ahead do that but until then i will be in a lighter terms S.O.L

but i guess what i really want is to be able to grip and drift the car i want a nice dual setup kinda but grip is more of what i want and the drift will come with speed.

will lowering it make any differance in handleing? i can still go about 1/2in. in the rear lower and about 1in. in the front. but then agian i will have to reset all my settings again to like camber and toe.

depends how low you are already, but since youre talking about maxing out coilovers id say youre already past optimum handling and youre only going to make it worse by going lower

Are you overlooking your tires? Greatest gains / failures are at the friction points.

yea quite possibly, i will need tires soon all i got was something that would last me through my last winter here in WI and this weekend it is off to good old mississippi. i will get some decent tires after i move, any sugestions on tires? im only running a KA with intake, cams, full exhaust and a diff. so i dont think i need anything to crazy because i do still want to be able to drift the car on occasion.
