They are surely cheap to buy because most are not in good condition.

After 100,000 miles, assume that you will need to spend $3-$6,000 to return the vehicle to as new mechanically, THEN 15 cents per mile for maintainence and repairs up to 200,000 miles.

Many spend way less or DIY [with the help of our sponsors who give 25% discounts from retail on parts]. The junkyard and EBAY becomes your friends.

Economically you would be better served to start with a 1994 model or late 1993 [making sure the engine chain guides are the updated ones.

By what you are currently driving be prepared for the operating costs.

I would agree... The 94s are more reliable, no chain guides, and overall a better choice, IMHO!

There are plenty to do to your suspension.. main things we do (and I have done all execpt the first 2) are FSTBs, rear sway bars, tokico blues, all new suspension rubber..

They make eibach lowering springs, but dont do much for handling (make it look cooler :) ). Stillen makes adjustable tension rods and upper links.. Might not be a bad idea looking into those...

This is one of the stiffest chassis I have ever been in, taking into consideration its weight... Its phenominal!!!

This is a good link to start off with.

The Hitman gives some good advise on things you can do.

I'm doing the shocks. rear sway, t-rods and maybe links. I'll wait to see when the Hitman comes out with the FSTB. If the price is right, then maybe I'll get that too. The springs, from what I read on the forum are mixed. There seems to be camber issues witch might wear tires quicker, but I guess if you want to spend the cash, you can get the Stillen adjustable links.$$$ Have fun. I love my Q and it's been reliable since I've had it.
