About 7 months ago, i installed AGX's and tanabe super down precedo springs on my s14.

when the car was up on the jackstands (before i ever let it down) the upper strut mount was up against the inner fender wall pretty tight. When brought the car down off the jackstands, it seemed to correct itself.

tonight i was driving and i heard a little clunking noise after making a left turn. I had my girlfriend turn the steering wheel while i looked at it, and it seems like it is rubbing again. I might have to get new upper strut mounts, but I dont want to if i dont have to. Has anyone else had any similar probelms like this, or know what would be causing this? thanks in advance.

when you changed your struts did you accidently swap the upper mounts from left to right?

Is it the upper strut mount or the spring perches that was tight against inner fender well? I wonder of the perches are aligned wrong. I am also having suspension problems, (sorry i have no advice for yours) I installed a whole new K-Frame to repair my car from my crash into a curb, and when I installed the new k-frame, i also put in new springs and shocks, (eibach pro,agx gas adjust), now when Im just driving down the road i hear a clunk/rattle sound, and i cant figure out whether its the new struts or the k-frame or the wheel bearings. Also when I am driving along at 45 mph my steering wheel vibrates left to right slightly, above or below 45 and it goes away. Thanks for reading my post.

your post is considered thread jacking and can really be considered disrepect toward the initial thread starter. In other forums Alot of the mods will just delete the post. I will let it slide this time. but please dont do that.

It sounds like you have either a tire balance problem or a tire tread seperation. for your shimmey. as far as the clunk maybe tension rods?

it might be the tension rods. WHen I make a turn(steering wheel all the way) I hear clunking noise. I looked at my tension rods to find that my bushings are all tore up....i have to replace em pretty soon
