hey guys.
I've been having this steering problem with the 240. Every time i go drifting or even take a tight u-turn, my steering wheel turns and like stays in that position. So every time i drive straight, the steering wheel is turned in one direction.
any help would be appreciated! :gotme

thanks Razi!
i didnt think about those, i'll definitely check those tommorow.
but the steering wheel is really crooked, it's like about 70 degrees clockwise. maybe something else could be contributing to my problem also?

Np!
Check all the front bushings while you're under there.
Something might be bending or binding funny.

I think I may have had the same problem as you OP. My 240 would drive both front wheels pointing forward with the steering wheel straight but when I would make a turn it would be turned about 45 degrees to the right and the wheels would still be pointing straight. If this sounds anything like what you are experiencing, then steering rack and pinion it is.

alright guys, i found out that my steering rack bushings are completely shot! :ohno:
and on top of that one of my tie rods are bent, probably because my car is lowered.
what kind of bump steer kits or tie rods do you guys use?

If you're going to buy new rods and ends, you HAVE to buy SPL. Not because they're MADE IN USA, but because they're really the best thing out their. All the other tie rods suck hardcore, especially for lowered cars. I have circuit sports tie rods, and they only have about 15mm extra bump correction, and not nearly enough articulation. The articulation is actually the same as stock which is a major bummer for a spherical bearing. If you wanna bind your rods then cheap out, if not, SPL.

SPL sell the only bumpsteer kit that's worth while.

gah! i ended up cheaping out and getting the megan ones.
they help angle the tie rod to where it should be....but only bike about an inch and half.
i hope that's enough to keep me from binding and bending them.
