I just finished installing eibach pro-kit springs and tokico blue shocks on my car, and I'm having a problem with the top of the spring shifting and making popping sounds when the steering wheel is turned. All bolts have been tightened properly but the plate above the spring wont seem to sit correctly. Anyone run into this problem before?

The shock does not go through the center of the upper spring seat, it is offset towards the rear. When you turn the steering wheel the strut rotates on the center of the shock, not the center of the spring. If its not lined up correctly the upper spring seat will hit into the strut tower as you turn the wheel. Make sure the notch on the outside of the upper spring seat if facing into the car (facing the engine). I had the same problem on one side when I did my springs.

thanks, yeah thats probably it. I'll probably end up having it adjusted when I take it in for an alignment this week.
