suspension problem

theres a noise that sounds like an icemaker dropping ice on my back left suspension assembly, when i took the wheel of i noticed the boot had been demolished, so i ripped it off and it still makes the weird sound when i turn and stuff, and when i go at low speeds too

has anybody had any weird noise like this ?

yea i have the same problem in my s14 in the front left. My tie rod end is split open. Im a mechanic so i have my car on the lift at least once a week, and once my boot split open i started to hear that same noise. So get your boot replaced and that should eliminate that noise you hear.

my noise is coming from the back left not the front

A couple weeks after I installed my coilovers i started to hear a tap noise from the rear over certain bumps.

Turns out i didn't torque one of the nuts on the top mount very well. Even with the car on the ground you couldn't see any real gap between the bottom of the nut and the mating surface. It was just past hand tight though lol....
