Alright, So since I've had my truck I've always noticed a sag and a lopsided stance (driver side) and I've been meaning to change out my suspension.

Its got 207k KM on it with all OEM suspension. I've been looking to get GR2 Struts, Gas-A-Just Shocks. Bouncing between Lowering springs and stock height springs, but since I read up on the "missing link" The Lowering springs have turned into more of look rather then reducing body roll. Main purpose of me wanting lowering springs was to take the turns better but balancing 400$ and 52.50 I opted for the cheaper one.

As it stands, I'm still in search for stock height coils thats stiffer then OEM, Im reluctant to go through 4x4parts.com because of the shipping and duties. But the dealer is asking 189.37 PER coil :wtf2: when 4x4 is asking 155.00 for 2. I just dont want to get rape charged by duties and going across the border isn't available to me at the time (no passport as its expired : /)

Besides the Coils, Struts, And Shocks, what else should I have on hand for this job? I heard something about the bushings. Is it necessary? benefits? Bolt replacements? I'll be tackling this job with a friend so any add ons or suggestions would be great.

And no, im not looking to Lift my truck more then an inch.

Rundown of costs so far.

Parts from Garage 5
GR2 Struts - $55.00 ea.+12.5% hst
Gas-A-Just - $75.00 ea +12.5% hst

parts from 4x4parts.com
Med-Heavy Duty Coils (4) - 317.62 + shipping, handling and rape charged duties

 Nala Jr., there are so many threads on this it's ridiculous. Do a search and look at the Suspension Lifts 101 sticky. Read it all the way through. Read it all the way through. I know it's a hard concept to grasp but I believe in you son. You can do it!

You're welcome.

If you read, which obviously you didn't, you don't have to lift your truck to pull the answers to the questions you're asking. Plus there are links to springs that only offer a 0.5" lift. If you have read it then you either lack the ability to retain information or have the attention span of a goldfish. I'm guessing it's a little of both.

Apologies I guess it didnt occur to you that theres a lee way, but to you everything has to be specific cuz you like targetting people who do things some what different from you. And as all threads have stated, New Coils, added lift till the coils settle which is why I said no more then an inch. After it settles itll be what, .5" which isn't really even a lift.

I have pulled "some" answers but not all the answers im looking for.

And seeing as you're taking after Alexf20c so well I think youre next posting should be somewhat useful and relevant. Hopefully Optimus Prime can help you with that.

The missing link bar isnt some magical bar that stops body roll, if your on stock springs and you take a corner hard these cars still get tippy.

I have the missing link and oem springs and new kyb struts and it didnt turn into a race car lol.

If you need to buy springs I would get the medium duty .5" lift from old man emu

and..... while your making your order from 4x4parts.com you should also do all of your control arm bushing in polyurethane. I did my lower rears and it was a whole new car, I was kinda pissed I cheaped out and didnt get the upper bushings since they didnt look as worn.

Its a well spent dollar. I bought all new hardware for the control arms from lowes, but 4x4 has them all in a kit I believe.

If your going to go all out and do this and spend the $ you should make the 10 min call to 4x4parts and tell em what kind of car your running with and tell em you need springs/bushing/bolt kit and possibly shocks/struts if you see anything you like on there site.

There site is a pretty good one stop shop for a suspension overhaul.

Thanks, Thats the reply I'm looking for. I understand the missing link wouldn't turn my truck into a G35, but as long as it reduces the body roll significantly (as everyone whos got it is saying they definitely notice it) then its good enough for me.

Its rigid strength not anti body roll, it stiffens your car up a bit. It definetely feels different

But that doesnt change the fact that our oem springs are weak, and when you dip into a turn or fast lane change, the car leans HARD. To help this, get aftermarket springs, Id stick with old Man Emu

If the problem is body roll, how come nobody is mentioning stiffer sway bars?

How would you make a sway bar stiffer?? Its already atleast an 1" diameter

I want to stop the car from leaning when I take a turn, stay more parallel to the road
