Well i am getting ready to do alot of work on my 240's. My hatch back will stay mostly stock for now, but my girlfriends coupe will be getting the most suspension treatment. The car will be a daily driven car that will see mostly street time, but will be autox this coming summer. I would like to keep springs and shocks to under 1k. will be replacing bushings, sway bars, and adding some chasse stiffening bits. I want something that will take daily street driving abuse, and have some control over either dampening and/or ride height. i might be willing to go a little over the 1k price if i find a really good deal. thanks for any info

You could get Tein HE and KTS coilovers (from SPL) for a little over $1000. The KTS would probably be slightly cheaper than the HE's but both seem to be very popular choices. For about $800 you could get some Tein Basics, but would be losing damping adjustment.

I got the Tien Flex with edfc, and battleversion everything. It's my daily driver so the edfc if clutch if you know what I mean. It rides on 15's so it's pretty smooth. Handles like a porche now. hehe

For a daily driven mostly street car. Just get Eibach Pro-kits or Tein S-tech springs and some KYB AGX shocks. That's all you need.

Tein HEs on a daily driver would suck for most people, I wouldn't want to drive my 9/7 springs everyday.

Get springs, shocks, and use the rst of the money to get other susp parts. Rather than spending it all on coilovers.

if you want adjustability you might wanna look at some rear upper control arms for camber and rear toe arms for toe. changing the tension rods will feel really nice oh yeah and change all the worn out bushings.

if youre planning on buying low end like kyb/tein springs or tokico whatever u might wanna check out the classified. you could pick up a set from one of the guys here and later on if you want to upgrade u wont lose much money out of it because you can always resell.

yeah for stiffening most people start off with strut bars and stabilizers. you could spend some time adjusting it here and there so the car doesnt understeer =/. for more stiffening you could get the front and rear underbraces, ladder bars. and if you do anymore ill say ur filthy rich and you should buy me some stuff lol

What do you mean, 9/7 is low, and I am going to be daily driving on my JICs with that spring rate. Being sarcastic also, I am a little crazy and don't mind daily driving a fully built car. I would just go with some stiffer springs and if you stock dampeners are blown I would replace them. It will be good enough to play around with but shouldn't give up all the comfort.

Well a hard ride isnt something i am worried to much about. I just want something that can hold up to daily driving ok. It would be nice if there was some kind of list that give people an idea of the difrent sping/stut or coilovers that are avalibe sense there are so many options. maybe we could start out simple and get just a list of brands, and then start listing there difrent products.

I dont mind driving everyday that kind of spring rate, but then again, i have the HE's. My girlfriend and other people riding with me hates it. Thats why I sold both my seats and got me just 1 for my self....I'm a lonely driver
