I installed some adj tension rods this winter from courtesy nissan. Now that it is nice i got the 240 out. When the suspension is under a load i am hearing a popping sound.Everything is tight and aligned in spec. All the front chassis is new, tie rods, ball joints, sway bar links and bar to frame bushings, rack bushings, struts, mounts, springs. Is this noise typical it isn't bad but enough to be annoying.Does it when turning ,or anytine the suspension moves up and down.Any ideas?

i just installed some struts and springs on my 240 and i get the same sound. not when i'm turning though, only when going over bumps and pot holes.

i tried using a slicone rubber to replace the old gasket on the upper strut mount, but that didnt work.ive been driving on it for over a week and it hasnt screwed anything up yet. thats not saying much though.

so thats my experience. hope that helps a little.

The noise was never there when i did the other suspension stuff. All suspension was done at the same time last fall except the tension rods.Noise was never there till the rods were installed.

I have this noise only when the weather is warm. the only time I hear mine when driving on warm weather is when I come to a stop. It gets annoying after a while. I have replaced my tension rod bushings, SPL tie rods, stut mount bushing. the only thing I can think off are the front lower control arm bushings, which I will be replacing with urethane ones.
