OK, I have searched but have found no info that answers my question directly. I just got my 91 Fastback (hicas) running and it's suspeinson is as follows: All stock- shocks, springs, bushings, tension rods, etc are all in decent enough shape an everyday peron would not replace them. i know i will be replacing all of them eventually, but my question is what suspeinson mod will be the most benificial? I dont have the cash to do all of it at once so I have to make each mod count.

The biggest bang for the buck is to get into a good set of tires and maybe wheels. Tires for sure. Next would be springs/dampers. I would wait and do those at the same time as $$ allows. There's no point in having to do the same labor twice. ;)

my tires are pretty sad... What size wheel/tire would you suggest? ( i dont really care about looks as much as performance)

BTW: this is not my dialy driver and I dont plan on dirving in snow ever, or very much rain...

as far as tires, you'll want to go to a fair tire shop, find a new tire in the OE size and then try to keep the same overall hight no matter what size rim you choose, say you go from a 15"x7" to a 17"x7", where the 15" had a 205-60-15" youll like be around a 205-40 or 45-17", and for the width, just remember clearence issuse and if you mainly run drag or street drage w/ just general street, you may want to go to a 225-45-17" or 235-40-17",,, however for a general street car with exeptional cornering you may want a 195-50-17" or a 205-45-17",,, but again, pay attention to clearence and overall hight with out air or weight...

hope this helps you and or anyone else X

my best results were going to a private shop, since they really need the $$$, they will usually let you check and re check tire size as much as you want if they think it will close a deal..(no offense intended to any dealers) sorry
