Has anyone checked with Calmini recently to see when / if they are going to release a lift kit for an R50? They put a nice one together for the Xterra (my neighbor has a sweet setup on his Xterra), and they have a package for the older Pathfinders/WD21. They show a picture of a Pathfinder R50 project on their site. I assume this means they have at least looked into it.

From what others have told me calmini doesnt care enough for the r50s. lol. Its kinda sad, their project pathfinder had some pretty cool stuff on it.

Odd - it seems there is a good bit of interest out there for R50 mods...

I have this feeling about the time I'm done with an OME lift or something, some one will come out with somthing better and I'll be mad.

I doubt that will happen. In the 5 years i've been involved with R50's, suspension kits have always been the same. In fact, i'm surprised that the AC and OME are still available. One day they will be discontinued. Total chaos has already stopped making lift kits for hardbody and pathfinder which were at one time commercially available.

A few people have done crazy projects, like nissandoms47 with his drop bracket kit, or tmorgan4 with his V8 swap and SAS. But those are individual projects.

Doing my own mods like that are out of the picture. Guess I'll have to deal with what's out already before they go away...or move to an Exterra, but I really don't like them as much. Almost bought one a few years back.

Yeah, really the only things better than the OME and AC lifts are, like they said..individual projects, the SFD and SAS...I'm gonna start working on a long-travel design but it's still in the works...I emailed Calmini a couple months ago (I'd include their response but it was from my shipboard email and I'm not on the ship anymore...) and they basically informed me that they have no interest in manufacturing any suspension modifications for the R50, due to the lack of interest in that vehicle, and they refuse to produce any custom one-offs...so, even though they have the "project pathfinder" on their site (anyone know how long that's been there..? Never looked at the project section before...) Like the others have said, I don't know how long AC/OME are going to be making these kits for...I mean, the aftermarket following for the R50 is really, really weak so...No telling how long they will be available (then nissandoms47 will have the corner on the market and can charge us $2,000 for his kit...lol)
