Need some help from someone. 98 Maxima SE. Bought it with tein lowering springs. Not sure what happened to it but everyday driving, highway driving, even trying to get out of the neighborhood is destroying the suspension on the car, also the rims i put on are getting screwed up. Its been lowered near 1.5". Any way to get this out, Its possible the struts dont pressurize anymore, but should i just sacrifice the height and get Mcpherson or regular struts and raise it back up?go back to original springs? basically HOW CAN I KEEP IT LOWERED AND GET THAT COMFTORABLE RIDE BACK?

struts might be blown if the springs were put over stock ones. best thing is to get tokico illumina or kyb agx shocks - they're adjustable for ride comfort and work best with lowering springs.might also be bad allignment.

yea neew struts and an allignment is the way to go. and your car will stop riding like a civic with cut springs.

The tokico's are a shock/strut combo right? and you would have to get all 4 for the ride? Im pretty sure i've narrowed it down to the struts being the problem. When i bought the car i did major repair work, new struts, rims, HID's, Amp/sub setup, neon inside, Short ram intake, N1 exhaust setup with headers, strut bar and new sway bar links on the way. but The struts I got im pretty sure i just grabbed a quick set and told someone to throw them on, so im guessing he just put the tein's with the new struts and they didnt work well together. So i can keep my tein springs and just buy something like a tokico shock/strut combo or something like that and some problems should go away???thanks for the help, ill throw some pictures up when i get around to it

shock = strut - without getting technicali'd recommend tokico illuminas or kyb agx - both are more expensive than tokico hp or kyb gr2 but handle drops a lot better and you can adjust from soft to stiff for ride comfort. tokico hp (blue) is pretty much a stock replacement. they're fairly cheap, handle some drop alright but will give you a bumpy ride - like a track race car. i like my blues because i like a harsh ride kyb gr2...pretty crappy so unless you're trying to spend as little as possible don't bother and they won't handle your springs.are they s or h techs?

Stock style replacements are made to work with other stock parts. ie springs. Lowering springs offer less travel on stock struts therefore they tend to wear them out a lot quicker. Like mentioned before, get a set of Illuminas or AGX's and you will be fine. Adjust them to soft to get some of that comfort back, but still keep it low.

If they were the S-techs then i am sure they reamed out your stock strut replacements.
