so my caster is way off on my passengers side somewhere around 2 inches. im not noticing any bends in anything or frame damage. it all looks straight. the only thing that looks suspect is a patch welded where the cross member mounts to the subframe. but i can imagine that is causing the main part of the issue. i got the caster better by removing the bushing on the tension bar and moving it to the front side as a spacer. i haven't measured the length of this bar but im wondering if its the wrong one that was replaced.

it looks like it may have hit a huge pothole or a curb at sometime as the back wheel has toe issues and looks like the trailing arm mounting point is slightly bent.

im looking at this https://store.garagistic.com/z-car-tc-r ... Ah0c8P8HAQ
but im sure there is a better option. but if not will this even work correctly?

Is this for the Z31? those rods are for S30's which mount to the rear and the angle is almost definitely wrong. If you convert to 88-89 style tc rod brackets you might be able to use z32 style adjustable tc rods.

the crossmember should not be welded to the frame rails, if it's welded there is likely a reason and likely why your caster is off.

You could also use adjustable lca's with spherical rod ends on the inboard side, then you can use misalignment spacers to move the inboard joint forward or backward to adjust caster.

Yes a Z31 (1986 300ZX Turbo)

i ended up finding a set of adjustable tc rods for the 88-89 Z31 i just need to order a set of brackets.

the subframe itself is not welded to the frame. but where the LCA mounts to the subframe it looks like the hole has a patch on it. i haven't dug into it to far yet. but im wondering if the hole had gotten wallowed out?

it looks like the entire front suspension needs a rebuild. would you put in adjustable camber plates on the front? im wondering if i pull the caster back to stock if the camber will fix itself. it doesn't look as far off as it did.

A bent strut or strut housing could also be at issue here, or perhaps mismatched parts. the 87-89 had 10mm longer lca's and the spindle had a slightly different angle as a result.

If your crossmember looks to have been modified I'd look for a replacement. The NA crossmembers are far easier to find than the turbo variant.

i did a quick search for a cross member and unfortunately it is a turbo and i didn't find one. i haven't started taking things apart yet but the struts are shot and there is alot of wiggling going on down there. so a complete rebuild is in order. i might as well get 2 new LCA while im at it. i was debating getting the adjustable LCA kit but im not sure im up for it.
