My 2000 Pathfinder has 215,000 miles I feel it is time to do something with my worn suspension. I know the suspensions have always been an issue with the R50 platform. Over bumps and train tracks it doesn't feel as safe as it used to. Also, the truck has never handled additional weight very well especially in the rear. This truck is my daily driver and I do not desire any sort of lift, however I realize it may not be avoidable with a stiffer spring set. Please let me know what suggestions you have for spring and shock/strut assemblies and any personal experience would be great.

The only modifications to the truck are Firestone Destination AT 255/70/16.

TIA

Kyle

I've heard people have good luck with Old Man Emu (OME) springs. Back those up with some Bilsteins and you should be good to go.

Have you checked 4x4 parts? They should give you at least one item to choose from.

Yeah, I have looked at a few different things 4x4 parts being one of them. I looked at their light, medium and HD springs however even those I read mix reviews about the actual increase in height seen. Some say 2" some say 1", I would prefer .5" at the most. To be honest I am from the VW scene where the suspension market seems to be more developed and easier to navigate.

Thanks

the reason why you get mixed reviews is because most of the yahoos that post up reviews measure it right after installing the damned things and dont even let them settle (generally 6 months). If i were to read the mixed reviews i would go with whatever the smaller number may be. And even then a 1 inch lift would not be too noticeable IMO.
