since i cant afford $1300 for coilovers... is there a company that makes springs in the 500lb/400lb range? im thinking that hard springs like this combigned with some type of adjustable struts will yield BASICALLY the same thing as say Tein super drifts minus the ride height adjustablity..... can "normal" struts( think kyb adjustable.. or tokiko illuminas.. whatever) handle that high of a spring rate?? and if so where can i find some springs? all the springs i find are closer to the 200lb rangethanks a lot!!

nope, not for the 240 at least

the stiffest youll get will be up around maybe 350 or so, after that none for this car

coilovers are your only option with that high of rates...the cars that you can get high rate springs like those are ones that coilovers are not available for

Also you have to keep in mind that "coilover suspension" such as Tein, JIC, Apexi, Cusco, and among others, the shocks are made specifically for that type of spring. One more thing is that I do not really think that KYB AGX's will hold up well to a spring with that high of a rate.Just my 2 cents

-No they can't handle the spring rate.-Did you read the attention stickY?

more over: WHY do you think you need that kind of spring rate? How much lateral force/body roll are you actually going to be resisting....street tires won't even come close to necessitating anything over 4kg/mm in all honesty( esspecially if you're planning on running stiffer sway bars, etc)..

you can get heavy springs for cheap, but youd have to get a custom valved koni or similar to not blow out with them.
