Here's the deal

Not gonna go into detail about the budget but im getting a check from State Farm for $1000 and I want to get some suspension. Im thinking coilovers.

For a $1000-$1100 budget what do you guys think is the best buy?

Any good online shops URL's are welcome

Ryan

BTW: The car is a 1992 S13 Fastback

pilot bars are cheap, but theyre just strut bars, they'll get the job done. As far as coilovers, id get the Megan Racing coilovers, about $900-950, http://www.revolutionautowerks.com (one of our sponsers, talk to Mike ) or for a little more you can get the KTS/SPL coilovers, http://www.splparts.com (also one of our sponsers) for a little more than $1100.

I know quite a few ppl running the Megan coilovers with no complaints and will soon be on one of NICO's project vehicles I'm even considering them for myself... going beteween the Megans and KTS/SPL's...

You could start by freshening it up. Replace the probably worn bushings with polyurethane, lower ball joints if they are worn, maybe an LSD if you don't have one, chassis stiffening, and if you are going to lower it I think you need to add rear camber adjustability. Someone will have to elaborate/correct me because I'm not lowering mine so I haven't learned much about what is involved with that. That's by no means meant to be a complete checklist of things you should do, just a few random thoughts. Basically, what I'm saying is concentrate on details now to get it ready for your coilovers. Do a lot of research before you buy any parts. Figure out what you want your car to do, why you need a certain part, and exactly what it does. None of this sounds as exciting as, say, shiny new coilovers(except the LSD if you aren't equiped but you wil feel a big difference. Threre's a lot of info here, other forums, and Googledom on suspensions. Oh, and SPL parts, a sponsor, has lots of those detail parts.
