Has anyone found a good deal on suspension parts front and rear, I have active suspension but would lose that for a good set at a good price, Have only found these so far and I'm hoping there are better and cheaper around. I mean $1000 is much money, to much for me. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=q45 ... &_osacat=0

Well there are very few/no other alternatives for a 2000 suspension. You can do a set of KYR SR Specials from memoryfab.com (call them they don't list anything on their website anymore) which will run you 1/2 the amount of the Megan coilovers, but will not lower you car or give you fresh springs. You can call everythinginfiniti.com and get a rehab for your current system for about the same $$$ also. but other than that, you need to budget about 1k to rehab your Q45 suspension, no Monroe crap out there or others to give you cheap alternatives. If you want a stiff ride the Megan's are a good deal (I think people have bought them cheaper than a grand) but you need to know those babies are very stiff.

Sorry to let you know, but there isn't anything cheap for these cars.

Thanks for the reply! I just purchased and she had no info about maint, zip, zerro, nothing. So I did the bounce test and its tough to tell they are not bouncing all over and when I go over a bump it seems stiff and hard hitting, not being a suspension expert I have no real idea if fluid is going to be leaking out etc. She has 106K and I was told that is the norm for replace but then again it is a Florida Texas car so lots of flat driving and decent roads, if that makes a difference.

No, there were not enough FGY33 imported to garner aftermarket support outside of Japan.

You have electronically switched valves on your shocks. Infiniti is the only source for them.

Here's the deal. You own a car that would cost $65K today. There is no further discount on parts or labor beyond the purchase price you paid because it is old and there has been deferred maintenance accumulating over the last decade. Parts are not inexpensive. Either sell it, drive it into the ground, or maintain it for many carefree miles. Your choice.

Thanks for the three options, I'm going with last one but I still think there are some avenues to explore for cheaper decent quality suspension; I have a friend in the military in Japan I may have to give him a call and see what he can drum up. There is also the whole debate about knock sensors as far as they are all the same for Nissan and the ignition coils being the same, still trying to nail that info down though. Thanks for the info

Many Nissans share the same KS. Ohm test them before installation. There are JIC coil overs and maybe insurance also. But I would stick with OEM. You will get 120K to 160K out of them.

Ignition coils are Hitachi.
