After replacing upper links, tension rods and sway bar bushings on the front, the suspension still is fairly noisy over large bumps. An average Chevy Impala new rental car is much quieter. My car is an active with only the 4 strut accumulators replaced. Would it be quieter if the other 5 accumulators were replaced or I am expecting too much from 1994 technology.

My up to OEM as new spec cars are rather quiet, so I bet you have more work to do. One cannot neglect even one portion of the suspension of a 10 year old car and expect as new OEM performance.
