Suspension/Engine mods

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I'm not sure if I'm missing some topics but I don't see much about people who have added performance bits to the suspension or engine.

I have not picked up my EX yet but the first thing I want to do is coilovers and a set of 19's or maybe 20's with some wider tires. Next I'd like to do an exhaust and ECU program. The problem is I am finding NOTHING with aftermarket suppliers. H&R has springs, but can't find coilovers yet.

When it comes to engine, I can always do a custom exhaust but not sure about ECU programs. Anyone?

Welcome to NICO Tora, from a fellow Canuck!!

I'm afraid I don't have any info for you. But if I were to guess, I'd say the newness of the EX model, coupled with its low sales volume so far have impacted the availability of aftermarket products.

Cheers,David

I kinda figured that was the case. I guess I was hoping there would be some cross over parts from the G-35/7 lineup that would work. I don't know enough about either car though. But if they use the same ECU that would most likely cross over etc etc.

Cobb tuning has a flash loader for the G37 with Stage 1-2 maps and although gains aren't massive they are enough to make a healthy difference and add a little more fun to the car. I am trying to find out through them if their G37 unit will work on the EX.

I may be stuck with doing H&R springs - 1.3" and 1.2" of lowereing front and rear, along with a nice set of wheels and fat tires.

I'll chime in when I get the car and start modding....hopefully some more products will appear or be known to cross-over by then.

Cheers to a fellow Canadian!

i wish there was some aftermarket parts for the EX. i had a nice coilover setup with rims on my last car and i absolutlely loved it. hopefully something will come out but since the car has been out for a short time, i don't see it coming anytime soon.
