OMG I LOVE MY DECALS!!!!!!! and by boyfriend!!!

Ive had decals on almost all my cars and I looooooooove them!!!

And BTW they are NOT misplaced! They are perfectly cut for the coupe even around the door handles. I see why others think the one on the hood looks weird but when you see it in person you realize why they are where they are. I will take some better pics and post them.

We just bought a house so stickers were cheaper then the parts I want (and the parts I want arent even made yet!)soo.....My first "mod"......... stickers!!!

and what parts are you speaking of? if you think there is no after market for the a/c by all means, keep wasting money on plastic stickers that grab attention, but offer zero performance gains.

I don't think she meant it the way you understood it...

She said mods that she wants.

Let her do what she wants to HER car.

Right, but I'm personally curious as to what she wants. I'm on the phone with different companies every day gaining interest with the a/c community. If there is something you want, LET ME KNOW!

Um.. no.. not stickerslets say...

Coilovers... are my number one mod i am looking at doing.. why? because handling means much more to me then power. I sold high quality suspensions for race cars for many years.. I am waiting for something of quality to come out so im not replacing my suspension ever other year.

Then I want FRONT and rear sway bars for my car, strut bars, and a shortshifter. Then when thats all done I want wheels and a new bumper.

Why is everyone so negative all the time about stuf thats not even theirs.

...because they're so self-centered they're under the impression that what they like, everyone else should like too? That's my $0.02

Decals are definitely not my thing unless they're on a truck (and the occasional SUV). But hey, it you dig them, then power to ya! Customization is a personal thing that you should do for yourself. As soon as you start doing things that other people will like, it's no longer your project.

Nice Subaru BTW...Baja?

Well, if you did in fact sell high quality suspensions for race cars, you would know eibach suspensions are one of the highes rated suspensions in the world. You would also know the Prokit will not damage your suspension within a year because they are progressive rate springs that settle with the stock struts to form a perfect union. I used to have a BMW 330i with a full Bilstein suspension, the Bilstein B12, and I can tell you the ride quality and handling of the a/c with the eibach prokit, stillen rear sway bar, and the racingline end links is fairly impressive, short of the understeer FWD produces naturally.

Racingline is doing R&D on a strut tower bar as we speak. Should be arriving shortly. As for the front sway bar. You are going to have to spend $1000 in labor just to put one in considering you have to tear apart half of the foward subframe just to reach it. So I doubt a company finds a market in it.

Lots of short shifters are universal. Call a few companies and see what they think of the idea of a short shifter and donate you car for some R&D to help out the a/c community

Coming from Moton and Ohlins, Springs and a sway bar just wont cut it.

I will wait until something I likes comes out. In the meantime.. My decals make me happy and this thread was all about the sticker, so lets get back to them

they are supposed to slant down, as they follow the body line of the vehicle.

and to remove a front sway bar from a 08 coupe 3.5 L it takes 1.6 hours to remove and reinstall and that includes bushings and brackets

and if someone is trying to rip u off and say u need to pull the cradle, that should only take 5.8 hours to remove and reinstall that,

i dont know what kinda rate they were quoting u on but might wanna check a new mechanic lol

As a gal who once loved decals myself, I have learned that less is sometimes more. But I have to say whoever said what YOU do to your car makes YOUR car unique whether or not anyone else likes it was right. If it makes you smile when you see it from across the parking lot when you are walking up to it and you feel good driving it knowing it looks that way then that is all that matters.

Personally, if I were to put those decals on my car, I would buck the INSTRUCTIONS and "customize" the front decal to fit along the headlight like it looks like it should.

Again, if it makes you happy, that is all that matters. Rock on!

wow reading that was tiring and interesting. First, the poor kid tryin to get a present for his girlfriend is criticized to the point that he probably feels like he screwed up. Then herogirl comes to the rescue and says she loves them, shutting everyone up. All of a sudden, everyone says that doing what ever you want is all that matters, and it doesn't matter what anyone else things. Its funny to watch all these individualists conform to society when expected to, kind of ironic huh?

... or it could just be that those of us who truly believe that "doing whatever you want is all that matters" got sick of the whiny twits who were putting the idea down in the first place and finally spoke up about it. I'm so damn used to forums like there where anything outside the norm is immediately crapped on. Usually though, it's some poor ricer kid who's stuck in the original days of Fast & The Furious and is often trying to impress the masses by emulating that style. In this case however, it's a nice guy who's doing something thoughtful for his girlfriend and, as you said, was criticized to the point that he probably though he screwed up. Fortunately she loved the present (good for you mate...brownie points are everything!!! LOL). Yet still, people were cutting them both down......that's where the folks on the other side of the fence step in (to balance the Force, if you will ). I think it's considerably less of a case of "conforming to society" than you think, and more of a "will you idiots just shut the hell up with all the damn negativity?!?!?! If they like decals, then that's their thing...you don't have to be d!ck about it..."

I've been on forums for a long time and I know how people are on here... So I wasn't expecting any more or less. I've been talking about getting them for a while and some others had interest in them So I am glad he posted it on here.

<3 my boyfriend and decals!!!

first off woots to brownie points =)

second off me and my girl know a good bit about cars, so we knew what we where getting we both love them, so to reinforce the fact that no i never felt like i screwed up in getting them.

my only regret is the waste of time to me and everyone else by some of the replies my post has generated =)
