surging under boost

ive had this problem before but it just went away. since last night, raced a srt-4 for the hell of it, ive developed a ticking noise sounds like a valve tap, and all cylinders are firing. also when im pushing boost, it goes to 7 psi and its boosting, but the its like the boost isnt getting to the motor, and it kinda surges forward. make sense?

If the ticking is at all RPM's and you do not think its the coils firing then it is probably the hydraulic valve adjusters. They will make a sound, and need to be replaced when you start to notice your idle going weird. As for the surging boost I dont quite understand what you are talking about.

the boost is there but its like the boost isnt getting to the motor all the time. and it gets to the motor in surges, im going to a shop tomorrow to see if they can make sense of it

So do you mean, youll be driving and all of a sudden youll get a quick surge for the boost even though it should have beent here the entire time?

I had a problem similer to this, turned out I was just accelerating really slowly. I solved it by pushing the gas harder. Doubt that helps.

could the surging be a boost leak?

i found it, one of my spark plugs is not in all the way, i think the threads might be stripped, ill keep you informed as i figure it out
