I got my project running, and though I'm planning on puling the head off to fix the seals while I look for a good S130 L28ET to swap in I was rinsing off 8 years of accumulated dust, and when I started it again, it would not rev past about 2100 rpm w/o surging, that is it would rev, but immediately it would cut back power and act like the mixture was off dropping back to ~2100rpm.I am thinking it's the MAF but when I started it this morning it ran and reved just fine. so perhaps I got some water in a plug or something. seems odd.. anyone experience this? my manual says squat about it. old chiltons crap. could be a bad maf but the same symptoms seem to apear when moisture gets in the MAF plug, might want to clean the contacks wiith contack cleaner and see if it stays cleared up

Okay, I'll check that. I've been replacing plugs, I just got my new EFI plugs. $10 off Ebay... I'm going to need more dielectric grease. I hope it's just the plug, not the MAF, tho the S30 MAF's are pretty bulletproof right? Phar
