Everytime my car comes to a stop or when I start it, it surges from 500rpm-750rpm for like 5-10 seconds before running at a constant idle at either 500rpm or 750rpm . If I let it sit for a day, the next time I start it it starts but drops to like 250rpm about to shut off, but then picks itself back to 1100 to warm up. It drives fine, but I dont have any check engine lights though. Maybe an EGR valve, idle air control, etc. Any suggestions? Its a 97 btw..thanks

I'd suggest cleaning your IAC-V. There is a tutorial on how to do it on top.
