i was looking around on jun's website and saw a surge tank. i have seen them on engines before but never knew what it was. i was just wondering what is it for? is it just for race engines or r they useful for street cars? thanks

no need for it in a street car. when going around a corner on a race track the fuel sloshes around in the tank, and the pick up may run dry resulting in a fuel surge, no matter how many baffles the tank has. baffles reduce sloshing so more baffles means less sloshing. surge tanks are additional tanks, that are usually tall and slim so the pick up will never run dry. surge tanks don't hold a large amount of gas because the pickup in the tank will only be dry for a short time.

no, no, no, no, no...that's not what JUN's surge tank is, it's just a JUN's name for their intake manifold, it's just like the GReddy one for the SR20DET. It makes it so there are shorter, or virtually no, runners into the the engine, makes the boost not have to take as long a trip to get to the cylinders. It also increases the velocity of that air,

But I can see how it could be confused witha fuel catch-tank system,

ummm...NOt anythat I know of, but you can get GReddy's for somewhere around $500usd, whereas the JUN manifold is more than twice the price, I thought it was $2k, last time I checked. So the GReddy one is worth it. The JUN one is tuned more, though, for GT Track cars.

You can always get one made, ou tof Carbon-Kevlar or something, but the GReddy one is the best bet,

Sultan--Sorry I jumped on you, I kinda feel bad for yelling no :) Sorry,
