surface rust clutch

so I shot a dampner spring out of my oem clutch I just installed and wrecked the pressure plate I don't have the money but I refuse to buy the stock clutch again so I bought a rps turbo clutch and pressure plate but they both have surface rust from sitting in the rain for a few weeks but the springs and everything look to be fine. the clutch only have 5000 miles on it I only paid 20 for it. the guy installing it because I'm sick of dropping the transmission said it would be fine but I'd like to take youz guy's advise also. will it hold fine?

The rust will rub off in 5 minutes, like it does on brake rotors. If the surfaces are smooth and not burned go for it.
