I don't know whats going in my 92' Q45. The wife and I decide to take a couple out for dinner Sat night. I get a few comments on the condition of my 143,000 mile car'Seems like new'. Then on the way back from dinner (its about a half hour drive back), someone mentions the temperature, I notice my windows are fogging, then I notice windows are fogging up. Hmmm... No fan... all four blades are on the display, I fiddle, to no avail. We get 2 miles from their house and the fan starts blowing. I'm confused.

Its worked since, up until today anyway. I went for lunch and again.. I notice no fan. Somebody Help!! It gets cold driving a car up here in MI with no heat.

The fan motors do wear out, mine did infact 2 months ago took about 2.5 hours to change it. Start just like yours could hit the bottom under glove box and somes it would start but after a month nothing.

How did you determine whether it was the motor or controller? Where you able to get to the motor and spin the fan to see if it's a dead spot or where you able to access the wiring and check voltage going to the motor? Thanks for the response!

This past weekend I removed the glove box and the bottom panel. I smacked the blower motor with the end of a screwdriver and it started working. I must have misread Q45techs posting, now I understand what he was saying.

Are there any tricks to replacing it? It looks like it will be a simple job if that brace isn't going to interfere.

Does Infiniti of Scottsdale still have the best prices on parts?

High speed is a bypass around the speed controller module so if no high it is usually the motor.

It isn't as easy as it looks because of clearances when you pull it half way out.........the brace........about 22 [?] nuts and bolts after the glovebox is out totally.

22 nuts and bolts AFTER the glove box is out? So that brace does have to removed? I sure don't see that coming out easily. Good thing I own a hacksaw.
