Hi!Have anyone tried to fit the supra TT front brakes on a 240sx? They seem to be quite simular. The brake-disc center will need to be enlarged a bit but should then fit fine, the calipers I doesn't know anything about, only found one picture: http://www.budweg.com/budwegwe...=7540

Why do this when the 300zx brakes bolt right on? Same design but aluminum calipers...

Yes I really don't understand the idea behind this. If you want to spend a lot of cash on brakes, get the 350Z, or G35 or something. Although 300ZX would be more than enough.

Because the Supra TT rotor has a MUCH larger diameter than the 300ZX rotor. But Niclas_AB is right, the hub bore is too small and needs to be machined to the Nissan standard 66.2mm to make it fit. Underground Motorsports sells a kit that adapts the Supra rotor to the 240.

But if it's rotor diameter you're looking for, then for WAY less money, you can use use 300ZX calipers and the 350Z track rotors using a relocation bracket found here:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...45973

I already have 300zx conversion but if the supra TT brakes bolts right on it would make quite a difference, as they are 324mm instead of 280mm.

Only asking because a guy in denmark think he has supra TT brakes on his s14 and it seems to bolt right on without any brackets. But as i never heard of it before, I thought I would check with you guys to se if it was an common upgrade in the US.

Here is a pic of the guy's brakes: http://www.eilersen.net/DSC00008.JPGIf anyone recognice the brakes as something else than supra TT ones, please feel free to share.

Well, seems like it would be much better to buy the 300zx/350z conversion then, but i had no idea that someone was making a kit like that! you'll learn something new every day The only bad thing is that you only can buy 350z and suppra TT disc's from Nissan and Toyota here in sweden, and they are probably going to cost somewhere between 250-300$ each, so it won't be cheap.

I believe the Underground kit sold relocated the 300ZX caliper brackets allowing you to use the 324mm supra rotors. I have no experience with using both the Supra rotors and calipers however.

But the best part about using 324mm 350Z track rotors is that you don't need to machine the center bore everytime you need to replace rotors! You can get rotors here in the states for about $200-220 a pair... might be cheaper to just have some shipped over there rather than paying $200-300 each? (unless shipping is rediculously expensive).

My friend has a kit to use 300zx 30mm calipers, and supra rotors. I believe mckinney motorsports sells it.I think it's a bracket and such to move the calipers a little but then youd have to buy some big rims of course

http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com

p.s.

It's called the "Touge Large Brake"straight from the site:

"TOUGE LARGE BRAKE$90.00

Touge Supra style brake up-grade caliper brackets. for use with Z32 or Skyline calipers allows the use of much larger Supra style ROTORS with the Z32/Skyline calipers for better braking."

I vote get the caliper relocation kit from SPLparts.com. It'll allow you to run the Track rotors from the 350Z and G35. Same size as a Supra rotor.
