Okay i just bought another Q and the transmission has no reverse. Might beat on it for a little while. Engine runs great. Theres a supra at the shop with a blown engine as well as my landcruiser. I have not done any measurements but Im thinking of swapping the VH into one of them. Has anyone here seen or done a swap into any toyotas (besides the tacoma)? A VH into a toyota body thats just flat out sexy. Im leaning towards the LC but we have alot of auto shows up my way and a supra with a VH would just make people ccry.............

Honestly Im not sure I would want to put something nice like a VH into a toyota... :)

A land cruiser would be sweet though, the VH is proven to work well in off road conditions.

Well the shop owner wants to put his 454 big block into the cruiser so im not sure what to do. Its bacially my call hence the cruiser is mine and i have tons of crap down there. Hell i got a 3rd VH lying around but i don't think that one is salvagable. Theres a 3000GT that needs an overhaul thats possible. AWD VH. I just think putting the VH in the supra would just be a huge statement saying F* toyota. And i want to use whats available. Yes i could go out and get a 240 or 300 to put it in but i already have the bodies lying around. Hell i would love to sink it into the cruiser

first of all.... you sound like the MAN with all these motors sitting around.

Secondly- the supra is a bloody GREAT car. I had an RZ (mk4, twin turbo) and it was beautiful, powerful and handled absolutely wonderfully. They have an amazing chassis- its very advanced and loves a good enthusiastic driver.

Its fairly common to have 1uz's put into the mk4 supra. The VVTI 1uz's make an awesome swap as they are near equal in power to the stock TT supra motor and both 1uz's fit VERY nicely and further rearward than the stock straight 6 cast iron engine.

Fitting a vh45 is a farking fantastic idea and it would be a much better car with it.

MY suggestion would be to not do the first supra you find- get an SZR ( i think) which is a non turbo with turbo big brakes and the 6 speed manual trans. OR find a twin turbo RZ with manual trans and blown motor. Sell the motor and you'll make back a fair bit of money!

The 6 speed manual is made by getreg. its an amazing box and would mean you only have to fab an adaptor plate and not gearbox mounts and modified drive shafts.

I talk to much

The supra has a blown engine. Its not mine but can be for very little. Its an older model but that would make it more of a sleeper. Also, i never bought the other Q so i didnt get another Vh YET. The land cruiser is probably not getting the big block. But it needs to get something because its cali emissions and restoring all those little crappy hoses isnt something to look forward to. Summer is coming and this one is much needed on my end. Will be swapping something nissan into a toyota body this year!
