Hey all, I'm new here, and was wondering..I've heard alot about the RB engines here, but what about the 2JZ-GTTE, from the supra, would that be a hard swap, or more of a plug-n-play, as with the RB25DET? Also, does anyone know if it's reliable, and how much HP could be expected from this engine? Thanks for the help, just curious, knowledge is always good, right. .....AREM

yea, you can search, but here you go. the 2jz motor has been put into 240's, so yes it will fit, but it isn't a "plug and play" by any means. the only 240 i've ever seen with one is a strictly drag 240. it was very very nice. it would be a very sweet swap to do though.

me thinks the nissan ECU and Toyota engine wont enjoy talking to eachother

id rather install a slant 6 from a 71 duster into a 240

or maybe a 4.0 jag inline 6

The 2JZ motor is a fantastic power plant to start with. The engine will tolerate 28psi of boost without ever lifting the head. You'll just need fuel and fuel management. Your best bet would be to go with a standalone ECU. Of course your going to need a turbo setup that will support 28psi.

The driving charecteristics will change do the extra weight in the front end. But I've driven a 180 with the RB26 and it was quite tolerable to say the least.

I'm personally not a fan of mixing manufacturers, so I'd go with the RB series. But everyone has there own opinion.
