just wondering what your thoughts are on both of these.. i've researched them both, and it seems to be about a 50/50 choice on either.
i'll be building my ca as soon as i have saved up enough money, so im just wondering what piston will give me the best outcome.
i'll be going with pauter rods.. also, dont know what valve springs to go with. i am currently running hks cams, i'll be re-using them, i dont know whether to go with the dual valve springs from supertech, or tomei..

I have CP's in my CA and have no complaints. Plus I know a bunch of guys on this board have experience with CP as well. Positive reviews on my end.

They're probably both a good choice. I can't speak for the supertechs, but I can speak for the CP's and I think they're a great piston.

I believe they are made of different alloys. The Supertech is a low-silicon 26xx alloy (2618?) and the CPs are a high-silicon 4xxx alloy (4032?). The Supertechs will expand less, but will ultimately cause more bore wear because of the harder material. The CPs will be noisy, but ultimately last longer, I believe.

Disclaimer: I probably don't know what I am talking about.

I followed the skirt to wall clearances to a T with my Supertechs. I took the spec/requirement sheet to the machine shop when I was having it bored. They have specific tolerances for different applications as far as clearance tolerances go

Its the other way around with the materials, but otherwise its correct.

I would go for the supertech ones. Yes it is a weaker alloy in theory, but the 26xx material is really overkill for 99.9% of us.
The CP`s wont last longer, only in bad conditions (temp/knock), and if you have to much of that you deserve danger to manifold anyways.
I have gone Arias now because CP wont make pistons in 40xx alloy for me. (they dont make them in so small dimensions).
Supertech would also make custom pistons, but i chose arias.

if you want to save money, drop the pauter rods.. no use unless you are aiming for over 700whp
the much cheaper SPOOL rods for example do the same job.
