Hi, I'm wondering if the VQ35HR is the only motor of Nissan using the diamond-like carbon coating. and Which cars are provided with this motor ?

This innovation (DLC) dates from 2007 and is only concerning compression pistons.today, is there other part of the motor coated with DLC?

Gonna go out on a limb here and guess the VQ37HR is in the same boat. Just a hunch.

Lets just educated guess and say anything with the VQ prefix AND HR suffix, produced after 2007, will have this "superanallubricity" thing going on.

VQ37VHR. There's no VQ37HR. But yes, I believe the VQ37 does use DLC as well.

The QR25DE, VK50VE, and VK56VD all use DLC as well, but some of those motors only use it on the valve lifters, not in the cylinder bores.

Give global warming a few years to kick in first. Buy the property now. Wait until the ocean comes in. Profit. It's a bulletproof plan.

I'm studying superlubricity, that's why I'm interested in the LCD and Nissan's motors
