by change the ecu, you mean swap a new one from a different vehicle in? no.

as for fuel system, i would say you should consider your needs and goals and talk to someone at a reputable tune shop with a dyno near you.

they will be able to tell you exactly how much fuel you need and how to get it.

your gonna want to be safe and have extra fuel, rather than not enough. I'm about to boost 3psi on stock injectors and a fpr(at 55psi brings me close to 300cc/min),with walbro to ensure fuel is there. I have no doubts my 3~4 will be pushing stock injectors close to 100%duty cycle. If not I'm still not gonna trust it too much.

you can go stand alone, but price may be too high for you as it was for me. I'm not too sure on the navara's ecu stuff, but many have ran the stock sohc ecu boosted with success.... I even run my de on the stanza ecu(best sohc ecu from what I know), it is plenty versatile if that is a question or concern. Fuel as said already you want too much not too little. If you dont plan on major psi 370's seem to be the staple of most builds, ca18det is the motor your gonna want/need them from, but you could also go with aftermarket units those range from 370~1000+cc minute and cost more too.

Best of luck keep us posted.

Thanks neverlift for the info

I'm going to run about 10psi so the ca18det injectors sound like the go As for the ECU I'll get a stanza one as a standby and see how the stock Navara one goes

I'm putting the blower on a spare engine so I don't have to touch the engine in the ute I'll try and get it sorted before the engine goes in and then muck around with tuning after it's in
