I was hoping for some input and would love to hear some of your thoughts.
I have a 2006 350z coupe that I love. I have considered putting a Supercharger on it but really need to hear pros and cons of doing it.
Can anyone give me some feedback?
Thanks for the help.

pros
more power = win
cheaper then the twin turbo kits

cons-
potential to blow your engine up if not fully built but unlikely on low boost

One small thing I might throw in. If you have an aftermarket hood, check for clearance. Mine on my Z/28 scrapes against my aftermarket hood pretty bad. It has made a really bad place on it.

What supercharger kit did you have in mind? Used or new?

Seeing that you have the 2006 model, the hood might have clearance issues with a roots type supercharger such as the Stillen.

But a centrifugal type set up (supercharger that looks like a turbo sorta) would be all set without any need for aftermarket hoods.

Superchargers are nice, relatively low risk for a motor and it yields enough gains to put a huge grin on you and a passengers face.

Blown motors with superchargers is somewhat rare, which is a huge pro.

Very true unless you get aggressive with the pulley size or have a bad tune. Stillen SC base tune, unless fixed now, has sucked IMO based on what I've seen. Getting it on a dyno and tuning a/f is critical for longevity.
