Someone used a MR2 supercharger to use on the CA18.

A supercharger and direct port nitrous. That guy is the MAN. It appeals so well to my southern taste.

no, yellow. Yeah that's the Option leopard. About as logical as what I am doing. Now, if someone wanted to slap one of these on.The shortcoming IMO was the Toyota supercharger.

The toyota sc14 moves about 31lb/min, which is about the same as the gt28r/s15 job. I think if it was done right it could see about 300hp. Not a whole lot more mind you, but I dont think it would be too slow.

ProCharger = win though, thats one hell of a supercharger.

The only way I'd rock a Super on a CA is to help spool up a big honking Turbo...

Ah, read your sun tzu, the battle is won and lost before it begins, choose the feild wisely. I would race you on the highway for a couple of miles until your bottle ran dry.

Nitrous has it's moments but the boost is forever!

Lag for traction top end for action? just an FYI, 50 shot is nothing crazy, all its for is to remove lag... THATS why you use nitrous on a turbo car =)

http://www.biggulp.netMagnuson MP62 supercharger @21 PSI = 342whp & 310 ft-lbs on a 'built' 1.8L miata. Did 400+ with a 60 shot. Those who rode in the car (no spray) said torque delivery unreal and unlike any turbo 1.8.One dude summed it up; "drove, accelerated and sounded like a giant sport bike".

You can get excellent -unique- performance from a supercharged 1.8

I am not comfortable with a power adder on top of a power adder. Crank up the blower for that extra 60 hp.

I'm not squirting water into my engine, sorry.I don't like anything I have to refill other than my gas tank. I would prefer finding a way to eliminate the source of my detonation rather than slap a band-aid on it.

uh "sik burn"? are we extras on Clerks or something?

Proper timing comes with proper tuning and this will kill your detonation issues. We ran 30psi of boost on Overboosted180s car at W.O.T. and the car just flat-out hauled-@ss with no ill effects to include detonation which leads to cracked ringlands which lead to other hated issues. I run my car at 15psi daily, but toggle between 20 and 25psi for fun and again, no ill-effects to include the engine spitting-up oil. But like I said "mad" , we'll pow-wow about timing your engine when you're ready.

Wow, I'm about as many power adders as you have money for, and water injection isn't a power adder, it's a chemical intercooler. It doesn't add power any more than a regular intercooler does.

What it DOES do is let you run more timing, which can POTENTIALLY make more power.

I was thinking that the colder, denser air charge would make you more power. Its quite the safe way to make more power.

that MP62 maxed out and well matched to the application for his goals. Crank up the boost any more and heat will destroy the SC.60 shot adds additional cooling and eclipsed that 400hp SC benchmark. Its not like boost-only 342hp/310ft-lb tq atw is inadequate, eh.I don't view water/alky injection, revised tuning map, high boost, slicks, etc.. as part of your daily routine/maintainance.
