Anyone know where I can get a supercharger or a turbo for my 07 Murano. I saw one out there for the FX but when I asked the dealer, they said it wouldn't fit. Funny because they said they were universial and they would custom fabricate all the fittings.

I'm not really sure if the cvt will agree with the added HP. The 2009 only went up 20hp from 245 to 265. Go cheap with about a lil 50 shot of nitro if you wanna a boosst.

I wouldn't recommend go any higher than 300hp. I have seen a CVT get toasted in a Altima with CVT that had turbo added to it......unfortunately the CVT didn't last long.

CVT's like all transmissions are rated in torque handling ability, so imaginary mathematical manipulated HP is less critical...................a 50 HP shot of nitrous can equate to 130 lb/ft at 2,000 rpm and tear the CVT to streads instantly.

$4700 transmission replacements should always be budgeted with any significant [+10%] torque increase.

There has been much "noise" about CVTand supercharging the MO. Here are the facts...Nissan makes a supercharger for the Marano and it w/out a doubt impactful. My 07 Marano in white pushes 333 HP and the CVT is running quite well for over one year. It packs the following enhancements:

-Injen Cold Air System
-Denso " Iridium" Racing Spark Plugs
-Gibson Dual exhaust system w/ chrome angled Tail pipe
-Supercharger / fan turbo and Filter by Nissan; w/out a doubt gives significant power and throttle responses!!

There are CVT unit's that are out there in the MO's that can take a challenge from the engine w/out blowing out...... .it's exaggerrated that ALL CVT's will blow at the site of 300HP.........it simply NOT TRUE. I am around 333HP and still running STRONG.

Nissan Executive Summary: The BIBLE

Superchargers-

With the installation of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) between the driving belt and the supercharger, the pulley ratio can be changed on demand.
The introduction of this variable transmission will remove the need for a boost pressure bypass valve and increase the efficiency of the supercharger system during all loading conditions. The variable diameter pulley system necessary for this CVT has been designed, but there currently are no means of which to actuate the scroll plate that changes pulley diameter in marriage to a turbo or supercharger to the 3.5 L Engine w/out consequence.

------------------------------

This pretty much sum's it up!! so unless you have deep pockets ...........don't marry a supercharger or turbo system to a CVT Transmission. while there are a few CVT units that are freakish and might be able to handle the extra RPM and punch...........the majority of them CANNOT. The bottom line is the CVT unit will FRY.
