I was wondering if you are running a supercharger such as a Vortech or HKS what affect does that have on your oil? Does it make it so you need more frequent oil changes or different oil all together or does it simply have no affect? What do superchargers need or do in terms of your oil and changing it is it still every 3000-3500 miles? anyone know?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it has much of an effect on the life of the oil.

I believe the sk kits, have self contained oil systems, the stillen is a positive displacment type and might not but I'm pretty sure the vortech does,at any rate, if you read up on the manufacturer sites I'm sure it'll tell you if it's self contained, and no it really shouldn't effect your old life if it shares the oil system, sc's don't heat the oil as much as a turbo and turbo cars still have pretty standard oil life
