I've got the mail from Stillen about the superchargers.

Got that too....I really don't like the hood that you have to use in order for the darn thing to fit!

If I get a supercharger, it'll be a vortech.

joe603:

My mechanic at the dealership said the same thing---Vortech Supercharger. Since my car is still under warranty, he advised me not to install the plenum spacer yet. He said he could install the cat-back exhaust, exhaust manifold, and intake without any issues to warranty.Seems stillen Supercharger goes well with a 350Z which has a slightly higher hood clearance than a G-35.

The plenum spacer will not void your warranty, unless it is the direct cause of a failure. Certain dealerships will actually install mods for you...those that they install will not affect the warranty at all, even if the part causes the failure. Thats what he meant...

If you have an 03-04, the spacer will be just fine. For RevUp engines (05-07 coupes, 05-06 sedans) then you need the MREV2 and the spacer to get the full benefit. It is a very cool mod!! I love the sound the car makes at 4-6k rpms!!!

The 350Z will also need an aftermarket hood with the Stillen, roots-type blower.

I love the looks of a roots sc, but would not want to advertise it with a buldging hood. Vortech would be the way I would go in a G.

All model years except 07 sedans and 08 coupes have FI kits, including SC ones.

gather 'round kids, i'll tell you a story. ANY supercharger will be driven directly from the crank pulley. if you reduce the size of your crank pulley it will spin the supercharger less, thus making less horsepower. in this case, as in life, the bigger the crank, the better.

yup....the only fix is getting a smaller diameter pulley on the SC. That will bring the snail back up to speed.

Hey USAF what kind of throttle body do you have? I've been thinking about getting one, any you would recommend?
