I guess because the motor will be on a stand and easily accessible. What is needed for a SC, just a stock motor? I was figuring if the motor was built up it would be able to handle the extra stress easier. maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, I'm going stir crazy here waiting to move so I can start pulling motors.

I'm with you if the motor can handle it, no argument here. I would still like to rebuild the motor before I drop it in, so I know it's in top shape to start off. Getting some of the components lightened would still be nice. I like turning wrenches, especially when it's a planned thing. It's the unexpected things that get annoying.

Too little free time! I gave up on the quest for more speed on the Y33. Went the quick way aka Viper .

sweet.....I had guessed a new ZO6, but the Viper is certainly a head turner. Funny thing is that I saw 2 today (new ones with side exhaust) on the way home from work and I thought....damn that is one bad a$$ car wishing I had my 69 vette out of the shop for which it is finally ready so off to Orlando this weekend to pick it up

Cheers and enjoy....I did the same thing with my Q. While it was a fun ride....it was just too hard to build a mid 13's second car and so I bought the vette and when all is said and done it should be a high 12's car which ain't too bad for a 35+ year old car, but I will take low 12's if she will give it too me.

Thanks guys!

The new C6 Z06 is just too much $$$. I originally was looking at the C6 w/Z51 package, C5 Z06, and Gen I(92-95) & II (97-02, 96 is more like a Gen 1.5) Viper. I decided to go with the Gen I Viper mostly because of the side exhaust. I picked up the car in Newport Beach, CA. Forgot to drop Kevin a line because I realize he lived in CA while I was on the airplane. Teenagers in small towns went crazy with the cameras when I stopped for food on the drive back to Texas. The previous owner said to me "Your life will be change. Be prepare to be in a celebrity status!". That seems very true. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

What did it go for? How many miles. Isn't this the one with no top?
