Sounds way too good to be true.

What sort of supercharger? Any website? Who is this person?

I'll believe it when I see it.

It would cost way more than 1,000 to supercharge the KA. You would have to move alot of stuff in your engine bay to make room for it. The intake manifold, throttle body, supercharger, belt and MAF are all placed so that its very difficult to supercharge.Superchargers are a waste of money and more complicated than a turbo. I wouldnt buy one even if it was a grand.

not if you use a centrifugal supercharger. fabricate a bracket for the charger itself, and your almost home. Superchargers are a waste of money and more complicated than a turbo.

wrong again. turbocharger systems are more complicated than supercharger systems. a waste of money? imo, no. you can produce the same amount of power with a supercharger that you can with a turbo. turbochargers aren't that much more efficient than the centrifugal superchargers that are on the market today.

in the end it all boils down to a matter of taste.

I wouldnt buy one even if it was a grand.

your loss.

Yes, but with a turbo charger I produce power when I want to. A turbo is there when you want it to be there. You could get like a powerdyne (sp?) centrifugal supercharger if you want to remove the AC and relocate power steering to mount it. But then you have to make a pulley that uses the KA's belt for that location.

like i said, it's a matter of taste. don't underestimate a centrifugal supercharged car just because peak power comes at redline.

or you could mount the supercharger between the engine and the radiator (i.e. like the S2000), have it spin counterclockwise, and not remove anything.

Ya, just a matter of taste. I just prefer exhasut driven boost over crank powered.

enough with the supercharger vs. turbo debate

there is no way this is real, no supercharger can make 110whp for under $1000, its just not possible, unless its one of those neato electric chargers on ebay, those rule....jk

Make-believe people are weird..they never return my damn emails either.

ullose2 - I've got this bridge for sale, thought you might be interested. Let me know. It was owned by an old lady and she only drove on it on sundays. $29.95. If you act now, I will throw in 1 bottle of tooth whitening gel.

Oh yeah, would you mind taking a pic of you standing next to your engine bay of your RB26DETT powered subaru with a sign saying 'TOLD YOU SO!' That'd be great. thanks

I suppose its possible for me to make a supercharged setup for right around a grand, but I wouldn't make any money selling them for that amount. Watch your money on things like this...

Roots style blower would be a nice instant boost supercharger, the centrifigul doesn't compare to a properly fit turbine though. No point in even arguing that. Most roots style blowers are going to have to be fairly big in order to produce the amount of volume a larger turbine will also.

I've always wanted to buy the Kenne Bell Roots style he makes for Mustangs and rig up my own intake piping and mount brackets.

yea, i've always wanted his twin screw setup for my dodge ram. that would be a sick truck w/ some nitrous to go along with it. those chrysler trannies are so ****ty though, i'd probably change trannies along with every oil filter.

hmmm, there were two supercahrged maximas at the nissan BBQ this weekend, how about sticking one of those on a 240sx? it's got a bracket and all, so you could frankenstein that onto something else (dunno, havent had a clsoe look at either yet)

but yea, if this 999.99 supercharger is legit, count me in

You could swap a 3.0 maxima into a 240. Its possible. But itd cost a hell of alot of money and time. The VQ is alot wider than a KA and youd be switching to a FWD. Whats the fun in that? Plus youd prolly have to put the engine in a weird possition to fit. And supercharging the engine would cost more onto that too. But hey if theres a will theres a way. My friend has a maxima. Nice engine.

no, no...it distinctly says, and I quote:

"my suburu on the other hand runs 9.18@143 it has a rb26dett in it though ill email pics if you want to see it and the time slips"

maybe it was someone using your account, but it is under your post name,

not taking sides, but I'm just laying down the facts,

also, wasn't there a newer Nissan truck that had a KA24 that was supercharged from the factory?
