At some point I have seen SCed RBs SRs and CAs. In the end the only thing they offer is freak factor. The builders start out with high hopes, there are initial oohs and aahs but as the honeymoon wears off and they try to pull serious power out of it they discover it just doesn't perform as well as a properly selected turbo system in any respect.I'm not saying don't do it just don't think you have found a secret source of more power. If you are going to do it, IMO, steer away from those cutesy little blowers you see in the kits and go grab a huge doomsday centifigal blower like the late model V8 guys use. I have never seen one of those on an import and they are proven to push stupid amounts of air if you can spin them. Maybe the reason the blown Nissans are always a failure is the blower they have used. I doubt turbo cars would be impressive if everyone was using stock turbos.

I was kinda going for the freak factor yes. but was not going for performance. Maybe some but no crazy massive amounts. Even if I did decide to go through with it it would be just a middle class sized vortec or something.

if you want freaky with just a little power go high compression NA with ITBs. Less work and the sound of something like that will give you a boner.

WOW!!!!1 I wish i could!!! But im thinking about the RB 30 swap becuase my vert will be a VIP car so it needs that VIP apeal ya know. Ive read about how to do the 30 swap but dont quite know how to do the small things you need to do to get it to work. There is a guy here http://www.carolinanissans.com...13769 Selling some RB 30 blocks If I was back in the states i might just pick one up and get started.

Holy crap! For that price, he can keep them.

In my advice, never NEVER do an RB30 if you live in the states. Unless you have a lot of patience, storage space and time.

No No shell out as in meaning of terms of money. How much does the typical 30 swap cost with all stock parts.

there is no such thing as a "typical RB30 swap". There is no such engine as an RB30DET. There are RB30E and RB30ET engines that have been modified with a DOHC head swap and altered timing belt arrangement with a custom length belt. If you want an RB just getting and firing up a regular RB will be trouble enough, don't make your life harder trying to source an aussie engine.

RB26s are twin turbo. RB26DETT. I guess if you went big single you could say it was an RB26DET.
