Is there anyway to supercharge one of these? Like take the supercharger off an xterra?

I saw one back a while ago... but haven't been able to find it since. I assume you want one for a R50?

I might end up making a setup in the next couple of years... I'll let the boards know if I do...

You have a R50... it's the chassis code for your body style Pathfinder.

Kind of want to bring this topic back from the dead instead of bringing up a new one.

I know for the most part the research I've done collectively has brought up the three parts listed below over and over:

- VG33R Supercharger (Nissan Frontier)

- ECU Reflash/Reprogram

- Some sort of Air/Fuel mix controller, forget if that's the technical name

Anyways, I like Alfredo's turbo build but I don't have that kind of money. Any one else dug deeper into this supercharged path?

You can only supercharge a 3.3L qx/path with one of the frontier/xterra ones; shouldnt require much modifications, you can probably collect the parts needed from the other cars,

Edit: Actually for the above, i dont think a frontier/xterra ecu would work, unless it was taken from a car with the 3.3 supercharged engine and most of the same options as the path/qx you want it in although this is just a guess.

As for a 3.5L, youd need to have adapter plates made for the manifolds, choose a supercharger of choice(close fit, need measurements etc etc), figure out belts etc, and lastly find someone who will do an ecu tune for it.

Last, the 3.3 supercharged still is slow, 3.5L will be pretty quick but its just alot of money for the setup as its all custom, theres not much aftermarket for these cars, with enough money anything is possible but you might as well be dedicated to dump a whole lot of money in the car to bring it to spec and doing alot of custom stuff, exhaust headers, etc.

Better of just buying a faster suv stock, like my x5 4.8is, i can get a supercharger kit for 8 grand, yeah its 8 grand but i buy it, all the parts needed come to my house and it can be all up and running in a day, around 500HP, with an exhaust 520+.

*headbangs on table in frustration*

grrrr. Well I know the ECU part wouldn't be difficult, I could just schedule an appointment at Richtuned (seattle tuning shop). All the rest though...waaah. Yeah I figured after I saw I couldn't use any aftermarket 350z/g35 parts. :(

Idunno. I figure it'd be cool to do something different. Hopefully somebody's got some good news for me?

I hate to tell you but your looking at 3-4k minimum for a turbo setup and at least 2k+ for a 3.3L super setup, do you have the 3.3 or 3.5?

Only thing you can do relativley cheap and its a HUGE improvement is the suspension and it will handle close or better then even alot of sport coupes and stuff.

Yeah, Alfredo's seemd super pricey and that OEM Supercharger was like 1k, then the controller and a reprogram I was thinking would equal to be about half the price of his Turbo kit if it all worked.

I got that 3.5

yeah iunno. I was interested in your lowering springs but I emailed TEIN last night to see if I could rock those Elgrand coilovers of if I could get a custom set made. but idk we'll see.
