I have seen these super white xenon bulbs advertised all over ebay for Inifniti J30s and other cars http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...9632. I was wondering if they screw right in or if you need a kit or other parts to put the bulbs in. Also, is there any difference between these bulbs and regular bulbs.

i put in some super whites and i really like the way they look over original. no yellow, just white..and not the crappy blue stuff either. you shouldn't have anyproblems replacing them. i didn't purchase the high beams since i rarely use them.

DANGER!!!

If the J is ANYTHING like the Q it will not respond well to cheap aftermarket bulbs. Most of those bulbs are a higher wattage than the car is designed for (duh, that's how they're "brighter") and can damage your wiring (or at least burn out prematurely).

Stick with Sylvania Silverstars (MUCH brighter, DOT-approved, LEGAL, and reasonably priced) or a recognized brand like PIAA...

I have to agree with AZhitman on this one. I have the Silverstar's in my 91 Q and they are terrific. There is absolutely no Yellow whatsoever. Now when you first put them in, you will kinda think to yourself, that you really can't see the street in front of you, but oh boy let me tell you, when you start to see things around you in front that you would have normally had to use your brights for, it's worth it, not to mention that people occasionally will flash their brights when going up or down a hill for youto turn yours off. Surprise! No yellowing and no hot spots either! I did nto get the brights as I hardly use them now. But if you do use your brights while driving sometimes, get those too as you brights (yellowish) will contrast greatly with the new low beams (white)

I just wish I could get the driving lights in a superwhite to match. I think they're an H3 bulb...

I'm going to buy the Sylvania's today, I may just get the Hi and Lo together to save the hassle of changing bulbs twice...

They pop right in and turn maybe 30 or 45 degrees to lock. The harness locks on with a plastic spring clip.

check out this site http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...3127. Are these bulbs any good? They are listed as 5000K which is brighter than the 4000k sylvania and PIAA bulbs. Let me know if you have any info on this brand of bulbs.

Don't get them. It says they're 80W bulbs. I think your bulbs are 55W stock. Don't go above that or you will risk burning out your wiring, melting the housing, or worse. Look into the Sylvannias...enough people on these boards swear by them. When my PIAAs burn out I will give them a try as well.

Look again. It says Pair (2) 9006 80W....I would assume this means 80W a pair? If anyone has tried these please let me know.

I seriously doubt they're 40W each. I think it means "a pair of 80W bulbs". If they really are 40W each, then I would question how bright they are. They might be white, but how bright? Email the seller to confirm. And if they really are 40W each, then check their feedback and email some of the previous buyers to get their opinions.

Ack, those are worse. Higher wattage, and their feedback isn't exactly spectacular. They guarantee the bulbs, but I doubt they'll do anything for your melted wire harness.
