My OEM left fog light is not working. Looks like there is mist or water condensation on the glass. Think it might have caused the bulb to burn out?How much for Silverstars? I hear they're a pain to replace (bulb) you need to remove part of the bumper or go beneath the car? Dealer quoted me $120 for labor. What a rip off!

wait till its nice out. Go under the car and take off the heat sheild. THere is about 10 to 20 of the plastic poppers that you will have to take off. Once the shield is off you can access the back of the fog housing. SHouldnt be too bad. DOnt pay the 120!

Not sure about cost of bulbs, but you can get silverstar headlights on ebay for 30 bucks or less so I would imagine about the same or a little more for fogs.

I don't recommend getting silverstars if this is your Daily driver and you use the fogs alot. I had them on my BMW and I ended up just getting HID fogs for it. If mine burn out I'm just going to get a regular halogen bulb or I might get an HID kit.

If you are looking for a bulb that is similar to the Silverstars then you should look at the Pilot bulbs in the off roading section at Autozone. It is called the Hyper white bulb and cost half of the Silverstar and is about the same quality as the Silverstars.

I took me 1/2 hour to do myself.

I didn't have any poppers to deal with. I used a floor jack and jacked up one side of the car. There were about 6 bolts that needed to be removed from the plastic part underneath then you can access the actual fog light. remove the 2 nuts holding the fog light on and unplug the wires and you can push the whole housing out toward the front. From there it's easy replacing the bulb.

Once you have the housing out figure out a way to clean up that moisture. clean shop rags or something.

Personally I don't waste money on the bulbs anymore. OEM cheapos have lasted longer then anything else I have put in there. I've had Silverstars, PIAA's, Raybrigs, Hella, Lumincs, etc. They all didn't last long. These fogs are purely cosmetic I have a feeling. No matter what you put in there, there isn't much light output compared to the HIDs.

I did like the look of the Lumincs Yellow H3's I had, but those were 30 bucks a pair, you will pay the same for silverstars, and if your trying to match the HID's they don't even come close.

I agree with nmgoodthing. I also finally put in yellow bulbs and like it the best. Changing them out is easy. 30 min. or less.

I have to agree with the look of the yellow fogs. And, like nmgoodthing said - I'm beginning to think that these fogs are just for show, but here in Albuquerque we do not have fog issues, so....
