He said - I'll take care of that for you. He got in the car, and started pressing the buttons on the side of my cluster (the button with the square icon and the one next to it) in some kind of sequence. A menu popped up on the screen in the dash and then he was able to make a bunch of changes to the car's behavior.
Does anyone know how to get into this super-secret menu?
So did you confirm that Navigation controls now work while driving?jessenj wrote:It wasn't that menu. I'm well aware of that menu and how to access it. This was completely and solely done with the buttons on the instrumentation panel and the menus were displayed in the dash.
Can you confrim that your dealer is able to disable the NAV lock out by access that menu!?!KJ911TT wrote:

1. Start the engine.2. Turn the audio system OFF.3. While pressing the “SETTING” button, turn the volume controldial clockwise or counterclockwise for 40 clicks or more. (Whenthe self-diagnosis mode is starts, a short beep will sound.)• Shifting from current screen to previous screen is performedby pressing the “BACK” button.
Not really, I've tried it and it's more distracting going through all the menu's verbally. Not only that, usually my passenger is doing the change, rarely is it me. And using the passenger voice is at times iffy with the mic located where it is.Avalanche325 wrote:If you find out how to disable the speed / Nav safety interlock, Darwin also reccomends disconnecting your air bags and removing the seatbelts for the long term good of the human race.
....ever think of using the voice commands? You can do pretty much anything and stay in your own lane at the same time.
Is this the menu you seek?blfstyk wrote:Are you rotating the big dial on the panel or the audio volume control knob? Oddly enough, it's the audio volume control knob that you are supposed to rotate.
Yes, thank you blfstyk and audtatious. I was able to access the menu via the audio dial. It wasn't useful, but atleast it was interesting to see. It seems well designed. I wish they had included a test tone for the subwoofer too.audtatious wrote:Is this the menu you seek?blfstyk wrote:Are you rotating the big dial on the panel or the audio volume control knob? If you have the Around View Monitor cameras, one thing you can do from this menu is have the camera shown all the time (rather than just when your speed is under 6 MPH or whatever). Still not that useful though, but kinda fun.Teknical wrote:Yes, thank you blfstyk and audtatious. I was able to access the menu via the audio dial.
