Hello there: i m new here.
i do have a problem with a 1991 Nissan Sentra 2 doors.
i m trying to connect the coolant fans to turn on with the key switch.
steps that i have done so far:
Battery...................OK
Fusible link..............OK
Fuse and fusible links......OK
Relay Port 1:On B/W and B/R wires my multimeter show a 11.53V with the key ON or START,
On wires: W/G and L my multimeter show a 00.00V with key on
Relay Port 2: On B/W and R wires my multimeter show a 11.53V with the key ON or START,
On wires: BR, W/G, L/B and B the multimeter show a 00.00V. with key on.
SMJ: I think that i find the SMJ behind the fuse block, but i don't think that the SMJ is causing my problems.
Fuse block: OK,, but when i put the key switch on, there is no reading on my multimeter IN any of the fuse.
THE CAR DO TURN ON.
For some reason my dad: A MECHANIC ADVISOR in my country, jump or britches the cables of the termo-switch and tell me that if the fans does not run is cause is something else???
NOW: if is not a GROUND OPEN like the termo-switch example, and if the termo-switch is the one how active the fans by detecting a high temperature in the radiator, i will turn on the relays that they could be bad..something else that i don't understand is, why my multimeter dose not have a Voltage reading at the fuse bloc with the KEY-ON.
something that i m going to do tomorrow is buy the new relays and take the 3 wires from the RELAY-PORT: B/W, B, R and use them to do new terminals, since they are bad on the two fans. and do the hole proses again only backwards:
fans, relays, SMJ, fuse and fusible links, fuse block & battery, but i have done that 10 times today.. i do have a diagram that is helping me to do this job.
PLEASE HELP::
