check it again.

-the out put voltage should be 0.45V (+/- 0.05V)*If not, adjust so it is.**If you can't get it into spec, TPS is bad.

-Unplug tps and adjust the screw on the IAA*If nothing happens, TPS or circuit is no good.

A bad coolant temp sensor will cause this.

Isolate where all the air is coming from. Block the hose entering the iacv at the iacv with pliers and rag. Block the hose coming off the plastic black plenum that leads to iacv and air reg to see if air reg is open. block all the air at filter to check for leaks.

block the air going through throttle. do this systematically one at a time to isolate where the air is coming from. ive never done this but seems sensible.

ie too much air through the iacv could be broken spring or too much air through throttle could be tps or throttle plate set wrong etc

timing is dead on.

I can't get a reading from my tps for some reason but, it came off my friends car and it worked fine. I think it might be the plug that comes off the engine harness cause it's looking pretty frayed.

If i had a bad coolent temp sensor wouldn't i not be able to tell how hot and cold my engine is running? cause that works fine.

Sounds stupid but check the pedal assembly and set points on the tb and make sure the throttle cable isnt binding or anything like that. also check code on ecu for a faulty injectors sometimes a code light wont be thrown but the problem still proceeds I dunno just my two thoughts

Is the tps adjusted? It has to be adjusted if you have put a new one on. ie loosen two bolts and rotate until it reads .45 v. Computer reset and idle reset.

back probe it while it is connected

will adjusting the tps really change my idle from 1500 to 800? I still need to adjust it but i dont think it will change it that much. I just replaced the gasket for the iacv and it drop from 2000 to 1500 and its closed all the way. Ive taken my intake mani off twice to double check and make sure everything was pluged up right and its fine. any other ideas guys?

of course. the wrong tps setting will screw things up.

I got kinda the same problem....When i start my car it idles at 2k then after about 2 min it drops to 1.5k then after 30-45 secs drops to 1k and holds. It runs fine though. it's an s14 with an s14 sr20. My guess is the turbo is "warming up"
