check it again.sileightyB wrote:pretty sure the tps is good too
Is the tps adjusted? It has to be adjusted if you have put a new one on. ie loosen two bolts and rotate until it reads .45 v. Computer reset and idle reset.sileightyB wrote:timing is dead on.
I can't get a reading from my tps for some reason but, it came off my friends car and it worked fine. I think it might be the plug that comes off the engine harness cause it's looking pretty frayed.
If i had a bad coolent temp sensor wouldn't i not be able to tell how hot and cold my engine is running? cause that works fine.
of course. the wrong tps setting will screw things up.sileightyB wrote:will adjusting the tps really change my idle from 1500 to 800? I still need to adjust it but i dont think it will change it that much. I just replaced the gasket for the iacv and it drop from 2000 to 1500 and its closed all the way. Ive taken my intake mani off twice to double check and make sure everything was pluged up right and its fine. any other ideas guys?
